National Prayer Day

blog-bongojpgNational Prayer Day has come and gone, but the feeling lingers from our Ingleside at King Farm celebration on May 2nd. Folks are still talking, with delight and even a bit of amazement, about the variety of prayers shared from such a variety of faiths. Prayers were danced, chanted, sung. Prayers were played on flutes and drums. Prayers were recited in several languages. Across all this variation, the common theme of caring for one another, and for our planet home, was conspicuous. Guests, members and staff all enjoyed experiencing one another’s different faiths and backgrounds. We’ll do it again next year on National Prayer Day 2014, and if you’re reading this, you are welcome to join us!
